You may have read in the newspaper that funding for the continuation of MacMedia services to Charter PEG channel 22 is probably not going to happen.  MacMedia can no longer afford to provide services without compensation, and has done all it can to encourage the units of government who hold the contract with the Charter cable company to be supportive.

Unless the users and viewers of MacTV become very vocal, and can influence government officials to understand the importance of community access television so that they will release necessary funds, Charter channel 22 will no longer have MacTV programming after June 30, 2008.

Governments that are involved in the decision are Fillmore Township, Holland Township, Laketown Township, Park Township, Zeeland Township, and the City of Zeeland.

MacMedia has been proud to be able to serve the greater Holland area since 2000, and will continue to serve the City of Holland through media center  services for Comcast channels 24/916, 25/917 and 26/918.  Look forward to new services, such as an on-line repository, which are being explored.
